Feature films make use of the five main movies features that make us love film; including storyline, characters, cinematography, sound and ending. Using these features enhances the entertainment factor of the film, creating an overall sensory and emotional experience for the viewer.
Non-feature films do not necessarily need to evoke emotions in a viewer because they are telling a factual story. They are portraying what happened in a particular event or to a particular person in reality.
