SK CLUB TERMS & CONDITIONS
“THE EPIC DEAL” TERMS AND CONDITIONS – 26 JULY – 30 June 2025
Ster-Kinekor launched a promotional campaign called The Epic Deal (“The campaign”), that will exclusively be offered to SK Club members.
The rules relating to the campaign comprise its official rules (the "rules"), together with official promotional communications by Ster-Kinekor Theatres, and shall govern and apply to all participation and activity arising out of and relating to the campaign. Please take a moment to review these rules, which will govern all aspects of the campaign. These rules cannot be modified except by Ster-Kinekor Theatres, in its reasonable discretion, by a written revision to these rules posted on the Ster-Kinekor Theatres website, Facebook page and Twitter profile or, at Ster-Kinekor Theatres' sole discretion, other official promotional communication channels reasonably determined to reach a majority of potential participants. By participating in this campaign, all participants agree to be bound by these rules. Ster-Kinekor Theatres' decision regarding any matter arising out of the promotion shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
The campaign offering
1. The Epic Deal will include the following items as a bundle deal at a price of
a. R149.90 (incl. VAT) in South Africa
b. N$139.90 (incl. VAT) in Namibia and
c. K110 (incl. VAT) in Zambia
· 1 x 2D OR 3D movie ticket
· 1 x regular popcorn
· 1 x regular drink
2. Available from Monday – Thursday only
Participation
1. The campaign is open to legal residents of South Africa, Namibia and Zambia only.
2. The campaign starts on 26 July and will continue indefinitely until such time as Ster-Kinekor decides to terminate the campaign.
3. The campaign is only open for SK Club members, SK Club VIP members and SK Seniors Club members.
During the campaign the SK Club Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect, subject to the following:
· Double points will also be earned if a member purchases The Epic Deal on a Thursday during the campaign period
· The Half-Price Tuesday benefit remains in place, but a member can only purchase The Epic Deal or a Half-Price Tuesday ticket, not both. No exchanges in value will be permitted.

SK CLUB TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 These terms and conditions form the basis of the SK Club and are an agreement between you and Ster-Kinekor Theatres (SKT). They are intended to protect both you and SKT. It is your
responsibility to read and understand them. Please pay special attention to all the terms and conditions printed in bold. The highlighted summaries do not form part of the T’s and C’s but have been added for your convenience.
More simply put: Please make sure that you understand all the T’s and C’s.
1.2 By creating a profile on any of our digital channels (including the SKT website OR the SKT App OR with Facebook OR mobile app) you agree to our Terms and Conditions (T’s & C’s) as part of the Sign-Up process. A parent or guardian who has signed up on behalf of a minor shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of the minor.
More simply put: If you create a profile on any of our digital channels we take it that you have accepted our T’s and C’s.
1.3 SKT may withdraw, replace, vary, amend or add to these terms and conditions from time to time (including but not limited to the Earning and Burning of points in Cinemas), in which case the amended terms and conditions will supersede and replace any previous terms and conditions with effect from the date on which they are posted on our website. We will endeavour to give you advance notice of any changes prior to their implementation. You will always be bound by the latest terms and conditions (which will override any publicity material.)
More simply put: If we update our T’s and C’s, we will try our best to give you notice about this.
1.4 SKT may change, replace, temporarily suspend or terminate the SK Club and a member’s SK Club digital Card at any time with immediate effect upon notice to the member/s.
More simply put: We may decide to suspend or end the SK Club, but we will notify you about this.
1.5 In the event of termination of membership for any reason whatsoever, members will forfeit any points which they may have accumulated.
More simply put: If the SK Club is terminated, unfortunately SK Club members lose their points.
1.6 If any part of these terms and conditions is disallowed or held to be ineffective by any court or other competent body, the rest of the terms and conditions will not be affected.
1.7 If you do not agree to these terms and conditions or any amendment to these terms and conditions you may terminate your membership at any time by writing to SKT at PO Box 76461, Wendywood, Johannesburg, South Africa, 2144, e-mail us at [email protected] or call Customer Care on 0861668437 stating that you no longer wish to be a member of the SK Club and you will be automatically removed from the SK Club.

1.8 SKT shall be entitled to sell, cede, assign, delegate or in any other way alienate or dispose of any or all of its rights and obligations under the SK Club without the prior approval of any member. Members may not sell, cede, assign, delegate or in any other way alienate or dispose of any or all of their rights and obligations under the SK Club.
More simply put: You are not allowed to let anyone else use your SK Club digital Card.
2. DEFINITIONS
Unless a contrary intention clearly appears from the context, the following expressions shall have the following meanings:

2.1 “Points” means the points a member will earn when transacting at SKT in accordance with these terms and conditions;
2.2 "Burn" means the spending of points by redeeming Rewards;
2.3 "Half-Price Tuesday" means 50% off 1 (one) movie ticket purchased by the member for each unique show time on any Tuesday including 2D movies, 3D movies, Cine Prestige, IMAX, Kids’ Cinema and movies in their first week of release;
2.4 "Kick-start points" means the number of points earned by members upon sign up, which will be stipulated in the Welcome email;
2.5 "Mailer" means the movie mailer as well as other communication sent to SK Club member who have subscribed and agreed to receive such movie Mailer and communication from SKT;
2.6 "Cinemas" means all SKT™ Cinema Complexes, including Cinema Nouveau and Cine Prestige in South Africa only, except IMAX cinemas where Burning of points will not be accepted;
2.7 "Reward" means any of the facilities, discounts, services or arrangements offered or available to a member from time to time as a result of membership in the SK Club;
2.8 "SK Club Partner" means any company or person who has contracted with SKT to offer Rewards to SK Club members from time to time;
2.9 "SST" means a Self-Service Terminal which are located in all SKT Cinema Complexes which allows you to book movies and check your points balance;
2.10 “Our website” or “Site” means www.sterkinekor.com and includes the site www.sterkinekor.mobi.
3. INTERPRETATION
3.1 In this agreement, unless the context clearly indicates a contrary intention, expressions, which denote:
The singular shall include the plural and vice versa;
Any gender shall include the other genders;
Natural persons shall include a juristic person and vice versa
More simply put: Our documents cover all genders and singular and plural – to avoid them being SUPER long. We are efficient like that.
4. THE SK CLUB
4.1 Who qualifies?
The SK Club digital Card is available to adults with a valid SA identity document and to minors with their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent (indicated by the parent or legal guardian giving online permission on behalf of the minor).
More simply put: When you are applying to become an SK Club member , please bring a valid ID (or a parent with you if you are under the age of 18).
Membership is only available to individuals in their personal capacity.
More simply put: SK Club members are people – not businesses.
The SK Club is not open to permanent or casual employees of SKT nor their immediate
families.
More simply put: Unfortunately, if we employ you, neither yourself or a member of your family can be part of the SK Club. (We have lined up other perks for you anyway).
4.2 SK Club membership
Membership is in SKT's sole discretion and we may accept or reject any membership
application.
More simply put: We have the final say over who can and cannot be an SK Club member.
Only you, the SK Club member may earn points and redeem Rewards on your SK Club digital card
More simply put: Only the club member can earn points on his / her SK Club digital Card. Not anyone else.
Only one SK Club digital Card application per person will be accepted. If more than one Card has been assigned to a member in error, the accounts will be combined, and the points transferred to the new single account, less any duplicated points from the same activity.
The SK Club digital Card will be issued electronically on acceptance of application for membership.
More simply put: An SK Club membership with a digital Card is given to all SK Club members.
4.3 Termination
SKT may terminate your membership at any time by written notice to such effect without giving reasons.
Membership shall automatically terminate (without notice being required) if the member:
4.3.2.1 dies;
4.3.2.2 fails to comply with these terms and conditions;
4.3.2.3 fails to sign-in within a period of twelve months from the date of signing up;
4.3.2.4 fails to use his digital Card for a period of twelve consecutive months;
4.3.2.5 provides SKT or its representatives or agents with incorrect or misleading
information relating to the SK Club;
4.3.2.6 in any way abuses his membership or the SK Club digital Card;
4.3.2.7 misuses any of the Rewards and/or services which are available to members
from time to time; and/or
4.3.2.8 makes use of threatening, abusive or insulting language or behaving in a
threatening, abusive or insulting manner when dealing with any SKT staff member or a patron of any SKT Cinema Complex.
More simply put: There are various reasons why we might end your SK Club membership. Mostly if you lie to us or insult us, don’t use your card within a year… or if you don’t follow our T’s and C’s.
A member may terminate his membership at any time by giving written notice to SKT to such effect to [email protected] or post to Ster-Kinekor Club, P.O. Box 76461, Wendywood, 2144. A member may call Customer Care on 0861 668 437 for further assistance.
More simply put: If you would no longer like to be an SK Club member, please contact us.
Where membership has been terminated:
4.3.4.1 You will forfeit any points you may have earned on your SK Club digital Card.
4.3.4.2 In the event of illegal or fraudulent use of the digital Card, we reserve the right to lay criminal charges.
More simply put: If you are no longer an SK Club member, you give up any points on your SK Club digital Card.
5. SIGNING UP FOR THE SK CLUB
5.1 How do I sign up? You can apply at any one of our Cinemas or click here.
Your SK Club digital card will be emailed to you in a Welcome Email. Once you receive your digital Card via email, you will receive your kick start rewards. You are required to sign-in on the SK website, link your card to the profile in-order for you to receive the additional Rewards stipulated in clause 8.
If you do not receive a Welcome email within 1 business day of joining to inform you that
you have successfully applied for the SK Club, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or contact Customer Care on 0861 MOVIES (668437)*.
5.2 Activation
Once you have signed up to be a member you have three months to activate your membership online and start earning points or use the ½ price Tuesday benefit, failing which, your benefits will not be accessible.
More simply put: If you do not activate and use your SK Club digital Card within 3 months, it will expire. You can activate your digital Card by clicking here
5.3 Membership tiers
A member who watches 15 different movies in any 12-month cycle will be upgraded to VIP membership status free of charge. Your upgrade is calculated from the first day of the month you were upgraded to the first day of the same month in the next year. In order to retain VIP member status, you will need to watch 15 or more different movies in the VIP membership year. VIP members who retain their status will get double Kick-Start points within 7 days of each VIP membership year. If a VIP member does not watch the stipulated minimum number of movies during the membership year to retain your VIP membership,
you will automatically revert to being a normal SK Club member and will subsequently receive the normal SK Club rewards.

SK Seniors Club Membership – This membership is for members whose age is 60 years and above. Due to the nature of the Rewards earned by SK Seniors Club (60+) members, the SK Seniors Club members do not earn points. If a member is a normal SK Club member, his membership will automatically change to an SK Seniors Club Membership when he turns 60. Any points accumulated on the SK Club Card will have to be redeemed 7 days prior to moving to the SK Seniors Club programme and any points not redeemed or unable to be redeemed will be forfeited.
More simply put: If you are over the age of 60, you will receive a SK Seniors Club (60+) Membership.
3D glasses are not included with any membership.
5.4 SK Club Online Profile
If you create an online SK Profile, join SK Club and provide us with more information about yourself, we will be able to personalise our interaction with you and provide you with information around Coming Soon movies and to contact you with SK Club invitations, promotions and you will have access to a digital dashboard.
More simply put: The more info that you give us about yourself, the more we can personalise our interactions with you.

movie ticket. Your 100 points for a 2D / 3D movie ticket bought will be doubled to 200 points. Your 200 points for an IMAX or Cine Prestige movie ticket bought will be doubled to 400 points.
More simply put: You will not earn additional points if you buy more than one ticket per show.
To earn points for a transaction Online, you must sign-in to your SK profile first, before processing online transactions. To earn points at Self-service station, you must enter your SK Club membership number before starting the booking.
More simply put: You need to tell us you are an SK Club member before you can earn points.
7.4 Points cannot be earned on the following:
On a free ticket purchased with points;
On a complimentary ticket or a readmission voucher;
Purchases of tickets of events hosted by third parties;
Purchase of half-price Tuesday tickets
The purchasing of individual (non-combo) confectionary / catering items;
The purchasing of airtime;
The purchasing of 3D glasses;
Error transactions, as a result of fraud, or pursuant to any illegal, ineligible or unauthorised transaction;
7.5 Your points will only reflect and be available 24 hours after earning. You will need to save evidence of your points entitlement until the points appear on your SK Club digital Card.
More simply put: Your points will only be available to use 24 hours after earning them.
7.6 Members can earn the following points:
Base points (100 points);
Kick-start points on sign-up (200 points);
Double points on Thursday when booking a movie ticket or buying a sharing combo / double take combo
7.7 Extra points may be earned or awarded at SKT's sole discretion.
7.8 If we are offline when you book a ticket you need to present your SK Club digital Card at a Cinema for us to manually capture your points.
More simply put: If we are offline when you book a movie ticket, we can manually capture your points.
7.9 Statements of points and points balance
You can access your statement online by signing in to your profile and viewing your dashboard.
You can also check your points balances online, by calling Customer Care* on 0861 MOVIES (668437), at the Box Office Counter or SST at any Cinema;
It is your duty to check your points balance. If you find any errors on any of your statements, you must let us know in writing together with documentary evidence as to why you think there is an error within 30 days of noticing such error. We will, in our sole discretion, determine whether an error did occur.
More simply put: You can check the balance of your points at any time. If you find any errors, please let us know.
7.10 Points earned where a ticket has been cancelled / refunded for whatever reason will be deducted from your points balance on your SK Club digital Card.
More simply put: points will be deducted if your SK Club digital Card has been cancelled.

7.12 Being a member of the SK Club does not guarantee seating or ticket availability.
7.13 Age restrictions and other terms and conditions related to specific screenings must be adhered to.
8. SK CLUB REWARDS
8.1 If you SIGN UP as a new member you will be entitled to the following Rewards:
Half price Tuesdays at any cinema, including 2D, 3D, IMAX, Cine Prestige, Kids’ Cinema,
Cinema Nouveau, Opera and Live Theatre.
SK Seniors Club members will receive a 20% saving every day, except on a Tuesday where you will also have access to Half Price Tuesdays. This includes purchase of
Cinema, including 2D, 3D, IMAX, Cine Prestige, Kids’ Cinema, Cinema Nouveau, Opera and Live Theatre.
A free birthday movie ticket valid on your birthday. Sign in and redeem the birthday ticket
online. NB – A birthday ticket is ONLY redeemable on 2D or 3D movie titles, a week after release and valid for 30 days including birthdate.
The birthday ticket will be loaded on to your SK Club profile for you to redeem. You will receive a reminder email and / or SMS to collect your birthday ticket only if you are subscribed to receive communication from Ster-Kinekor.
A birthday ticket is only redeemable if you have transacted with your SK Club card at least once since joining.
Exclusive SK Club Email Newsletter if you agree for us to mail it to you.
8.2 If you SIGN IN Online, you will be entitled to the following Rewards:
Half price Tuesdays;
Earn Base points when you use your SK Club Card when booking a ticket at a Cinema Complex, including Cine Prestige and IMAX theatres;
Earn Kick-Start points;
Earn Double points on Thursdays;
Earn Bonus points;
Exclusive, Promotions and Competitions;
Exclusive SK Club Email Newsletter if you agree for us to mail it to you;
The Point-based Rewards do not apply for SK Seniors Club members. Due to the nature of the Rewards
earned by SK Seniors Club (60+), the SK Seniors Club members do not earn points. If a member is a
normal SK Club member, his membership will automatically change to an SK Seniors Club Membership
when he turns 60. Any points accumulated on the SK Club Card will have to be redeemed within 7 days
prior to moving to the SK Seniors Club programme and any points not redeemed or unable to be
redeemed will be forfeited.
More simply put: If you sign in online, you are entitled to additional Rewards and points.
8.3 VIP members get the following additional Rewards:
Earn Base points when you swipe your SK Club digital Card when booking a ticket at a Cinema Complex, including IMAX and Cine Prestige;
Invitations to Premieres; Special events and Promotions
More simply put: VIP members are entitled to even more Rewards and points.
8.4 In order to receive the exclusive rewards, promotions and competitions available monthly to SK Club members, you will have to agree to be communicated within a manner selected online (E-mail or SMS). The Rewards above are only valid on presentation of the SK Club digital Card and are only valid for the member.
More simply put: You are only entitled to Rewards if you are a valid SK Club member.
9. BURNING POINTS
9.1 Only members who produce their membership number can Burn their points.
Once your points balance reaches 1,000 points you will be able to Burn your points. For more information go online, contact Customer Care* on 0861 MOVIES (668437) or ask our staff at Participating Cinemas.
9.3 Points can be Burned at Participating cinemas as follows:
1 500 points can be burned for a Cine Prestige movie ticket
1 000 points can be burned for a 2D or 3D movie ticket. Important note - the price of a 3D ticket excludes the 3D glasses required to watch the movie.
800 points can be burned for a regular soda and popcorn combo
400 points can be burned against a regular popcorn
9.4 Points can be Burned irrespective of the movie price, except at IMAX and not for movies during its first week of release;
9.5 All transactions for Burning of points is irrevocable and irreversible.
More simply put: Once you have Burned your points, you cannot change your mind.
9.6 If you choose not to Burn your points you can accumulate and save as many as you wish within the points expiry period of 12 (twelve) months from date of earning.
More simply put: You can accumulate points for up to a year before you decide to Burn them if you would like.
9.7 You will not be able to Burn points in part and /or combine with any other form of payment i.e. you cannot pay for a ticket with part points and part cash/credit card payment.
More simply put: You cannot partly pay for a movie ticket and use Burned points too.
9.8 No change will be given on points Burned.
9.9 Points and/or the SK Club digital Card cannot be utilised in conjunction with any other special, promotion and/or discount and /or any club or other offerings.
More simply put: You cannot Burn points and link it up to a discount or promotion too.
9.10 It is your responsibility to track and redeem your points balance and activity.
More simply put: It is up to you to keep track of your points.
9.11 The Burning of Points is subject to our systems being online. SKT does not guarantee that its systems will always be online and available for transactions, and accordingly a member may temporarily be unable to Burn points online. In this instance, a member may call Customer Care* on 0861 MOVIES (668437) who will allocate points upon proof of purchase being indicated.
More simply put: You can only redeem points when we are online.
10. MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION
10.1 By selecting the option to receive communication you give us permission to communicate with you, and you will receive Mailers and other communication from SKT from time to time.

10.2 Although SKT will use best endeavours to communicate with you during business hours, by subscribing to receive Mailers and other communication from SKT, you agree that you may receive these at any time of the day or night.

10.2.1 If you have received communication in error, please inform us as soon as possible on Customer Care 0861 MOVIES (668437)* or [email protected] so that we can correct the error and prevent any further inconvenience to you
10.2.2 Unsubscribing may mean that you won't be able to participate fully in the SK Club because you won't get updates on promotional offers, SK Club updates, additional Point earning opportunities and other Rewards that the SK Club has to offer.
10.2.3 We need to process all unsubscribe communications internally, so you may continue to receive marketing communication for a period of up to 21 business days after your request.
10.2.4 If at any time you decide you would rather not receive the Mailer and/or other communication from SKT, please amend this in your profile page or utilise the "unsubscribe" option available at the end of every communication.
More simply put: You can Unsubscribe from communications with us at any time – this request will take up to 21 business days to process – but you won’t be able to participate fully in the SK Club going forward.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
11.1 SKT gives no warranties in relation to the SK Club.
11.2 Subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act of 2008, SKT and/or each and any of its respective members, employees, contractors, sub-contractors, agents, workmen or representatives (hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Company") do not accept responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, claim, or other liability or expense of whatever kind or nature from or in relation to the SK Club.
More simply put: We give no warranties nor accept any responsibility for damage or loss of any kind – including medical claims and legal expenses.
11.3 The total liability of SKT for all claims shall not exceed a sum equal to the refund of any unexpired and unused points on your SK Club digital Card.
12. PARTNERS OF THE SK CLUB
12.1 An SK Club Partner may impose additional conditions. Please read each Partner's rules regarding the Reward they offer.
12.2 SKT shall not be bound to or be responsible for any obligations arising from any Rewards offered by an SK Club Partner.
12.3 In order to claim Rewards from SK Club Partners, you must present your SK Club digital Card membership number.
More simply put: SK Club Partners might have additional T’s and C’s. Either way, please present your SK Club Card to receive your Rewards.
13. GENERAL
13.1 These terms and conditions and any document expressly referred to in them represent the entire agreement between SKT and you in relation to their subject matter.
13.2 These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa and all disputes, actions, and other matters in connection therewith shall be determined in accordance with such law.
13.3 Members may not rely on any representation which allegedly induced them to become a member of the SK Club, unless such representation is recorded herein.
More simply put: No representation by SKT staff members may be relied upon if they are not in these T’s and C’s.
13.4 Any indulgence granted by Ster-Kinekor to any member shall not constitute a waiver of its rights against the member and we shall not thereby be precluded from exercising our rights against any member concerned, whether having arisen in the past or arising in the future.
More simply put: If we have ‘let something pass’, this does mean that we are prevented from pursuing it later.
