On the Ster-Kinekor website and in the Ster-Kinekor app, you can find our full cinema programme, buy tickets, and choose your seat whether you are sitting on the sofa or waiting in line outside the auditorium. Here we explain how it works and what you get from creating a user profile.

Choose a film, day and screening, either from the front page or from the cinema programme. Then choose your ticket type (for example adult, child, senior or wheelchair space) and select seats on the seating plan, where you can see which seats are available. Finally, pay with Vipps or by card. The ticket is sent to your email and is always available under “My tickets” when you are logged in.

Ster-Kinekor app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play. You use the same profile in the app as on the website, so your tickets and lists follow you wherever you log in. On iPhone, you can add the ticket directly to Apple Wallet, and in the app you can turn on notifications about new films and offers.

With a free profile, you can add films to your wish list and be notified when they get screenings at our cinemas. After your cinema visit, you can rate the film and read what other audience members thought. You can turn off notifications at any time in the settings.

Gift cards can be bought on the website, personalised with a design and a greeting, and sent directly by email. If you have received a gift card or value card, enter the code at checkout when you buy a ticket.

As a member, you earn points on ticket purchases and can exchange them for rewards in the points shop. You can find your membership card in the app, ready to be scanned at the kiosk.

The programme, news and offers on the site are created by us at Ster-Kinekor. The website and app themselves were developed by Filmgrail, a Norwegian company based in Oslo that creates websites, apps and ticketing solutions for cinemas and film festivals. The same platform is used by a number of cinemas around Norway, including Ster-Kinekor. That is why our app may look a little like one you know from another city.
