IKHAYA: Giggs Kgole, a young South African artist, prepares for his milestone solo show in Rome while confronting the ghosts of his impoverished past in a Limpopo village. As he unravels the layers of his identity, he pieces them together on his canvas while navigating unexpected hurdles that challenge his creative originality.
THE LAND REMEMBERS: In 1969, during apartheid, the Makuleke people were forcibly removed from their ancestral land to create a protected area. In a landmark 1998 legal decision, they regained the title deed to their territory, celebrated as a world-class conservation agreement.
BEYOND THE SUNSET A poet living with an incurable disease builds a large raft and sets off on a journey down the Siberian river Pechora with a community he helped bring together. Over days on the water, they share life, connection, and his poems, turning the voyage into a cinematic reflection on mortality and meaning.
