Ster-Kinekor Theatres (Pty) Ltd Competition Terms & Conditions

The Ster-Kinekor Theatres 'THE ODYSSEY’ giveaway promotion ("the promotion") is conducted by Ster-Kinekor Theatres (Pty).

(Registration Number: 2018/ 482630/07 and VAT Registration number: 4010283770).

These rules relating to the promotion comprise its official rules (the "rules"), together with official promotional communication by Ster-Kinekor Theatres, shall govern and apply to all participation and activity arising out of and relating to the promotion. Please take a moment to review these rules, which will govern all aspects of the promotion. These rules cannot be modified except by Ster-Kinekor Theatres, in its reasonable discretion, by a written revision to these rules posted on the Ster-Kinekor Theatres website, Facebook page and Twitter profile or, at Ster-Kinekor Theatres' sole discretion, other official promotional communication channels reasonably determined to reach a majority of potential participants. By participating in this promotion, all participants agree to be bound by these rules. Ster-Kinekor Theatres' decision regarding any matter arising out of the promotion shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

1. The promotion is open to legal residents of South Africa only.

2. The promotion starts on Friday 17 July 2026 & is on a while stocks last basis.

3. Only valid IMAX movie tickets with the correct reference number for `The Odyssey’ will be valid for the promotion.

4. The first 16,000 guests to watch The Odyssey in IMAX will each receive one free 42cm x 37.5cm The Odyssey poster.

In order to receive a complimentary The Odyssey poster, entrants must follow this process:

Book tickets in IMAX for `The Odyssey’ to receive the gift with purchase:

1. Book your tickets via the Ster-Kinekor website or App

2. First 16,000 guests to watch ‘The Odyssey’ in IMAX receive one poster. The posters will be handed out by the cinema staff on a first come first serve regardless of when the ticket has been booked for. (i.e. Should a customer purchase a ticket as early as 18th June but purchases ticket for 24th July, the posters may no longer be available.)

3. The posters books will be handed out to valid ticket holders from the first show on 17th July 2026 until they are out of stock.

4. One poster per ticket purchased.

5. This gift with purchase is subject to while stocks last. Once the first 16,000 guests have watched The Odyssey in IMAX, the promotion will no longer be valid.

1. The cinema will hand out the poster on presentation of a ticket to `The Odyssey’ at any participating IMAX cinemas only.

2. Winners agree that their names and Facebook or Instagram profiles may be used and published by Ster-Kinekor Theatres for marketing and promotional purposes in any form of media without restriction. The winner's name, image and/or town/city maybe published on the Ster-Kinekor Theatres' website and other media. Ster-Kinekor Theatres may also require that the winner participate in marketing activities. The winner has the right to decline participating in any of the above-mentioned activities. If a winner so declines, notice thereof must be submitted to the Ster-Kinekor Theatres in writing.

3. To the extent that Ster-Kinekor / the promoters collect and processes the participant’s personal information, Ster-Kinekor / promoters warrants that such processing shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and shall not be disclosed to any third party without the participants written consent.

4. Failure by the winner/s to comply with any of these rules or the terms of acceptance of the prizes, or refusal to sign the Ster-Kinekor Theatres winner/s declaration or the Ster-Kinekor Theatres winner/s prize acknowledgement of receipt of prize form, will be construed as a rejection of the prize and, without prejudice to any other remedy which Ster-Kinekor Theatres and its agents may have, the winner will be automatically disqualified and will forfeit the comic.

5. If the customer is unable to redeem the poster then their poster will be forfeited without recourse & handed to the next guest.

6. The offer is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The winner agrees to accept the offer as is, at their own risk and any cost associated with the utilization of such prize shall be for the winner's own account.
