Calling all movie lovers, big-screen storytellers and TikTok creators! If you’re the friend who books tickets first, quotes every iconic movie line and can’t stop talking about what’s coming next to the BIG SKreen, this is your moment.
Ster-Kinekor is searching for the next members of the SK Squad — a community of passionate cinema fans who know how to turn their love for movies into exciting, original content.
No massive following required. We’re looking for creativity, confidence, personality and a genuine love for cinema.
• A chance to become one of five SK Squad creators
• A 12-month content creator opportunity with Ster-Kinekor
• Monthly creator remuneration of R2,500, subject to signing the Content Creator Agreement
• Creator training and brand experience opportunities
• Access to unforgettable movie moments, screenings and content experiences
1. Create an original TikTok video, no longer than 60 seconds, showing what cinema means to you.
2. Post your video publicly on TikTok using #SKSquadSearch.
3. Email your full name, contact details, and video link to SKTsquad@sterkinekor.com before the closing date.
Entries are open from 17 July 2026 and close at 23:59 on 27 August 2026. Late entries won’t be accepted, so don’t leave your big-screen moment sitting in drafts.
The SK Squad Search is open to South African citizens or permanent residents who are 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Bring us your creativity, storytelling, on-camera energy, editing style and love for the movies. We want to see your personality, your point of view and why you belong in the SK Squad.
All eligible entries will be reviewed by a judging panel. Ten finalists will be selected and invited to a live selection event at a Ster-Kinekor cinema in Johannesburg, where the final five SK Squad members will be chosen.
